In an old house, far away, there‘s a tiger skin. Sit on it, and believe, and stories will start to swirl - tall ones, short ones, old ones, new ones - each more magical than the one before …

Writers Peter Wynne Willson and Yoon Won Hye have worked with two groups of children, one in a small village in Korea and another in England, in a very twenty-first century way. Young people have blogged and skyped their ideas backwards and forwards across seven thousand miles - everything from daily preoccupations, small and large, to the wildest possible dreams and fantasies. Over time, shared ideas began to grow - until two groups who have never met face to face have inspired a unique, brand new fusion of East and West.

In Moby Duck‘s latest international collaboration storytelling, live music, puppetry and wild, exuberant Korean humour swirl together into a heady, exhilarating performance style that is the company‘s trade mark

Don’t Mess!
Words by Guy Hutchins, Dance by Chitraleka Bolar, Music by Ed Briggs, Projections by Arnim Friess, Design by Purvin
Every self-respecting stepmother has always preferred heart, lungs and liver to Whole Live Stepdaughter since folktales began, and Ratna’s no exception. This time, though, the ancient gods don’t agree ? and when those gods decide to take action, it’s time to get very, very scared …
Moby Duck’s latest show for older children blends an ancient Indian tale with a range of European stories. Storytelling, South Asian dance, live music, wild digitally generated projections and haunting, evocative mask/puppets swirl together in the company’s unique, unmissable performance style.
Meet the author: Guy Hutchins is a writer and storyteller whose work has been broadcast in over fifty countries and heard by several million people. Guy
Theatre includes plays for Birmingham Rep, Pentabus, Midlands Arts Centre, Little Angel Theatre and ten shows for Moby Duck; and storytelling includes performances, workshops and collaborations in Cuba, South Africa and India as well as around Britain.
